“Being Asian in America” Dinner and Discussion

by | May 17, 2023

During Asian American and Pacific Islander Month, the Anti-Racism Task Force of the Northern Illinois Conference offers a program on Asian History and Culture including meals at 10 locations throughout the NIC.

Tom Butler and the First Church Social Justice Committee encourage our congregation to participate on May 25 at our sibling UMC here in Evanston, Emmanuel UMC. This event includes a film and discussion on Hindu culture and religion and an Indian meal.

Registration, limited to 12 persons, is due May 22 at the link above. $5 cash at the door is requested to cover the cost of the meal.
