Where will you connect?
Give to Love God and Neighbor
Financial donations support First Church’s commitment to follow Jesus’ example of courageous love to our neighbors near and far.
Act for Social Change
Social justice activism is part of our DNA, and today we are focussing on awareness and advocacy around anti-racism, full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ persons in the United Methodist Church, and climate awareness.
Serve In Our Church
From greeting persons on Sunday mornings to serving communion, lighting calendars, hosting fellowship time, helping with a Sunday School class, or holding babies in the nursery, volunteers make our ministry happen — on Sundays and throughout the week.
Serve In the Local Community
Continuing a long tradition of sharing our blessings and serving our neighbors, First Church is committed to a number of local outreach projects working with low income families, persons who are hungry and experiencing homelessness, and Evanston schoolchildren.
Serve Beyond the Community
From poverty-stricken Appalachia to natural disaster sites around the U.S., First Church youth and adults work to repair homes and experience God moments as they build relationship with faraway neighbors.
Connect with a Group
Our faith journeys can be filled with joy and with significant challenges, and a supportive community makes those challenges more navigable. First Church offers a variety of groups and opportunities to build meaningful relationships with fellow traveling companions on the faith.
