On March 1 the Nominations and Leadership Development Committee of First Church approved a proposal for a new Worship Commission. The proposal articulates the purpose and task of this new group as follows:
An appointed body of 6-8 members representative of the larger congregation, the Commission performs an important liaison function, receiving from the congregation comments, questions, and suggestions about worship; serving as a sounding board for staff members regarding worship in all its incarnations; and assisting the Senior Pastor in the planning and conduct of worship services through the church year.
