First Church is a venue for the Great Lakes Regional Convention of the American Guild of Organists June 25-28, 2023. Organists from around the region will gather for four days of concerts, workshops, and worship services featuring instruments throughout the North Shore.
Three events will take place here at First Church, and the public is welcome:
Saturday, June 24 2:00-5:00pm Organ Competition
Monday, June 26 9:00-10:00am Opening Festival Worship Service (prelude begins at 8:50am) – features a combined choir, brass, and includes newly commissioned works as well as First Church favorites like the hymn “Hope of the World” in an arrangement by Austin Lovelace
Wednesday, June 28 2:45pm Competition Winner’s Recital $10 admission fee
