Since Spring 2016, First Church has engaged in refugee resettlement, beginning with two families, Syrian and Kurdi. In partnership with Refugee One , a resettlement organization in the Chicago area, our refugee ministry team prepared apartments with furniture and household items and assisted day-to-day activities such as grocery shopping, paperwork, homework, language skills, and job applications.
