    Adults and high school youth from the congregation and the community rehearse in preparation of Handel's "Messiah" (Part I) for the Festival Choir Concert on Nov. 22, 2024. No audition is required.

    As part of Interfaith Action of Evanston, First Church hosts a weekly soup kitchen each Thursday evening.  A host team of First Church volunteers is needed each week, and 5-6 times a year we also need cooking teams.   Interested in helping?  Please contact Dave Koester (davekoester57@gmail.com) about current scheduling needs.

    The Festival Choir and Orchestra of First United Methodist Church of Evanston present part 1 of Handel’s beloved “Messiah.” The concert is sure to usher in the spirit of the seasons of Advent and Christmas. The 7:30pm concert is free and open to the public.

  • Sunday School

    Sunday School

    Sunday School takes place before Worship from 9:15-10:15 a.m. from mid-September through May, with an emphasis on learning and responding to stories in the Bible through reading, conversation, and play. Sunday School is offered for children ages Pre-K-6th grade. Classroom locations are posted throughout the building.
