Northwestern University Hillel will sponsor a dramatized staged reading of the play “October 7” at the university’s Cahn Auditorium, 600 Emerson Street in Evanston on Oct 6 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The play by Irish journalists Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, is a verbatim theater piece drawn entirely from interviews with eyewitnesses and survivors of the Hamas-led attacks on Israel that killed more than 1200 people and led to the abduction of hundreds more in October 2023. It previously ran for six weeks Off-Broadway in New York City, as well as at the Kennedy Center and on other campuses. It is being produced here by the Unreported Story Society.
