First United Methodist Church members are invited to an information session regarding how faith communities can prepare and respond in this time of ever-changing immigration policies. At this event, folks will learn ways to respond if ICE enters your building, Know Your Rights basics, and learn how to prepare congregations to respond. This is a great event for usher/welcoming teams, safety teams, immigration justice teams, etc.! Speakers include Rev. Luke Harris-Ferree, Rev. Eileen Wiviott, Commander Scott Sophier, Evanston Police Community Relations Unit, and Liza Roberson-Young, City of Evanston – Welcoming City Ordinance.
