God of compassion,
we place before you the needs of our community and our world.
Hold close those who are grieving, strengthen those who are weary,
and bring healing to those who are ill in body, mind, or spirit.
Guide us to be patient, generous, and courageous,
so that through our words and actions
your love may be made visible.
Give us hope where it feels scarce
and peace where it feels fragile.
