For the 26th year, First Church will send a group of youth and adult leaders to spend a week in July serving with the Appalachian Service Project (ASP) making homes warmer, safer, dryer. Our youth are eager for this experience; we need your support to make it happen!
Our fundraising goal is $10,000, which covers the cost of week-long van rentals, gas for those vans, Gatorade (lots of it), first-aid kits, tools, and simple meals for the group, for example. Please consider making an online donation or writing check to First UMC with “ASP” in the memo line.
You are invited to a free dinner on Saturday, April 6, at 6pm. This event will celebrate and raise funds for the ASP trip. Our youth will prepare the meal, auction off items to raise funds, and share about their past experiences on the ASP trip. Please RSVP here. Your support of this tradition is greatly appreciated.
