Bundled Blessings Diaper Bank

Bundled Blessings Diaper Bank was created in 2013 in response to the diaper need experienced by low income families in our community.

What is diaper need?

Diapers are as essential to a child’s health and well-being as food and shelter. Yet we know that one in two young families struggles to afford adequate diapers to keep their babies and toddlers clean and dry.

This diaper need has been called a “silent crisis.”

Federal programs called SNAP and WIC do not cover the cost of diapers.  Meanwhile, most childcare centers require parents to provide disposable diapers.  When parents are short on diapers and children can’t be in childcare because of that, the parents may miss work or school.

What We Do

The Bundled Blessings Diaper Bank is an outreach program of First United Methodist Church of Evanston and is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN).  Bundled Blessings works with 18 partner agencies to distribute a monthly supplement of diapers to 700+ children in Evanston & surrounding communities.  That is 37,000 diapers each month!

The all-volunteer staff provides information about diaper need, assists families in locating diapers, distributes bundles of diapers, offers opportunities for volunteer service, raises money through diaper drives, grants, fundraising events, and solicits individual and corporate donations.

This is what diaper need looks like.

For Agencies

Each month Bundled Blessings supplies local social service agencies with diapers to distribute to families in need. The pantry does not distribute diapers directly to individuals or families. A member of the National Diaper Network, Bundled Blessings supplies 24,000 diapers to help over 500 children in Evanston and surrounding communities.
