Advent and Christmas

Advent:  Courageous Love for the Day You Begin

Our theme for Advent draws from our strategic plan (“Living out Jesus’ courageous love”) and the book selection for our One Church, One Book small groups this season. The Day You Begin, is a picture book for all ages by Jacqueline Woodson, National Book Award-Winning author of Brown Girl Dreaming.

One Church, One Book

Our book selection for One Church, One Book groups, The Day You Begin, is a children’s book by Jacqueline Woodson with a powerful message for all ages.  Groups are forming for adults, parents and caregivers, children and youth to reflect on and share stories of days we began.  Three in-person and one online group meet for one or two or three times.
