DESCRIPTION:The Covenant Hike Group invites all who have a wonder of the natural world to share nature immersion with each other through 3 seasons while experiencing the presence of God. The format is simple. We begin with a brief reading (scripture or poem)\, hike along while sharing joys and concerns\, and appreciate 5 minutes of silence at mid-point. Each hike concludes with an optional\, brief time of sharing about our experiences on the hike\, closing prayer\, and a cool or hot drink. All ages are welcome.\n\nEach month we will meet at a designated location at 2 p.m.\, hiking various paths in our area for about an hour at a comfortable pace for everyone. DESCRIPTION:Our Winter Inquirers Class and other First Church friends are invited to prepare and serve supper for our Thursday soup kitchen (50+ consecutive years and still going strong!) and also prepare sack lunches for guests to enjoy the next day. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Please sign up here! \n\n4:00-6:10pm: Prep and Cooking shift\n\n5:30-6:00pm: Dinner for volunteers\n\n5:45-7:30pm: Serving and Cleanup shift\n\nPlease sign up for one or both shifts and note if you need to leave early or come late. All volunteers are invited to have dinner together (about 5:30pm) before the guests line up at 6pm to be served.\n\nThank you!
