The building will be open Tuesday-Friday 10am-2pm and Sundays 8:30am-12:30pm. The office building will be closed on Mondays. DESCRIPTION:The Earth Care Committee holds its monthly Styrofoam collection time at First UMC Evanston on the third Saturday of the month at the Church Street entrance between 10am and Noon. Material to be collected includes all clean No. 6 plastic foam. Acceptable items include disposable coffee cups; take out containers (such as clamshells); plastic plates\, bowls and cutlery; meat and poultry foam trays and packing foam. When recycled\, these items can be processed into a material used to make park benches\, picture frames\, and other items. Recycling these items helps keep this harmful plastic\, which cannot be processed locally\, out of the waste stream.

DESCRIPTION:HOME (by Tim McKinley) is a musical-liturgical project being reprised by singers in Northern Il Conference and led by Mark Bowman\, one of the first directors of the Reconciling Movement in the UMC to open the church to LGBTQIA+ folks and all! \nTwo HOME worship experiences are being offered in the Chicagoland area on June 22nd at Trinity UMC in Mt. Prospect and July 13 at Broadway UMC in Chicago.  There will be the music of HOME with some of our FUMC folx involved\, and testimonies of queer and trans siblings’ journey to find home in the faith community.   Admission is free!
