SUMMARY:Summer Hours for the Church Office
DESCRIPTION:As we have in years past\, beginning on June 15th\, the church office will be operating on our summer schedule. The building will be open Tuesday-Friday 10am-2pm and Sundays 8:30am-12:30pm. The office building will be closed on Mondays. Church staff will be working their usual schedules\, but having the office closed on Mondays will allow for rest and attention to the planning of big projects for the coming program year.\n\nAs usual\, if you need building access for when the office is closed\, please email Claire Amey\, at office@faithatfirst.com for a building code.\n\nThank you so much for the support of First Church Staff!\n\n– Pastor Britt

SUMMARY:Styrofoam Collection
DESCRIPTION:The Earth Care Committee holds its monthly Styrofoam collection time at First UMC Evanston on the third Saturday of the month at the Church Street entrance between 10am and Noon. Material to be collected includes all clean No. 6 plastic foam. Acceptable items include disposable coffee cups; take out containers (such as clamshells); plastic plates\, bowls and cutlery; meat and poultry foam trays and packing foam. When recycled\, these items can be processed into a material used to make park benches\, picture frames\, and other items. Recycling these items helps keep this harmful plastic\, which cannot be processed locally\, out of the waste stream.
