DESCRIPTION:On Thursdays October 5th\, 12th\, 18th\, and 25th\, the Progressive Christians Reading Group will delve into “The Elephant is Running: Process and Open and Relational Theologies and Religious Pluralism” by Bruce Epperly. Epperly believes that God invites us to affirm religious pluralism while remaining faithful to the way of Jesus and the prophetic spirit of Christianity. “The Elephant is Running” integrates theological reflection\, encounters with the wisdom world’s spiritual traditions\, the author’s personal experience as a spiritual adventurer\, and inspirational and innovative spiritual practices. DESCRIPTION:God’s Story\, Our Stories – Lectionary Bible Study Group\nYOU Are Invited! \nThe Lectionary Bible Study Group meets via zoom every Thursday night mid-September through mid-June from 7 – 8:30 p.m. We are a band of curious explorers\, reflecting upon the lectionary passages for the coming Sunday. We ask many questions. We have “ah ha” moments in our discussions. We attempt to unearth how these ancient stories inform our current day stories. We deeply seek to live out our best understanding of the heart of these stories week by week in the midst of our common humanity. Several group members rotate the facilitation. \nCome and join us!
